Custom officials thrash man,booked

A 30-year-old man was beaten up allegedly by over half-a-dozen custom officials at Amausi airport in Lucknow on Saturday.

A 30-year-old man was beaten up allegedly by over half-a-dozen custom officials at Amausi airport in Lucknow on Saturday. The victim,Brij Kishor Tiwari works in a construction firm in Muscat and arrived in India to visit his native village in Bihar. According to Tiwari,custom officials at the airport were asking him for bribe . “When they (custom officials) asked for bribe,it irritated me and I said that custom officials in India treat the passengers as dog. Hearing this,over half a dozen custom officials started beating me brutally,” Tiwari said. An FIR has been lodged against 10 custom officials,including one inspector and sub-inspector.
