Court issues NBW against Pradeep Shukla,18 others

Both are co-accused with Shukla in a case of financial irregularities in NRHM.

The CBI court in Ghaziabad today issued non-bailable warrants (NBWs) against 19 persons — including former principal secretary,medical and health,Pradeep Shukla — who are accused in five different cases related to the NRHM scam in UP.

The others facing NBWs include managing director and general manager of UP Projects Corporation Ltd Devendra Mohan and Ravindra Rai,respectively. Both are co-accused with Shukla in a case of financial irregularities in NRHM.

Nandit Srivastava,lawyer for Mohan and Rai,said the warrants had been issued as the accused were not responding to the summons for the hearing. Srivastava said that Mohan and Rai could not attend the hearing as both were seriously ill.

Sources said that Shukla is also being treated at a Delhi hospital for the past few days.
