SP national executive meet moved to Agra

LUCKNOW: The venue of the National Executive meet of the Samajwadi Party,scheduled to be held in Haridwar on September 11-12,has been shifted to Agra. The party is likely to pass a political and an economic resolution during the meeting condemning the policies of Congress-led UPA government. Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav is also attending the meeting.

Sulabh Intl to award Rs 5 lakh to Sushma

LUCKNOW: Sulabh International,an NGO,has announced an award of Rs 5 lakh for Lucknow-based child prodigy Sushma Verma (13),who has taken admission in Lucknow University’s MSc Microbiology course. Sulabh International advisor Madan Jha said organisation founder Bindeshwar Pathak will give away the cash to Sushma at her residence next week. “I will be committed to pay for any of her expenses in future as well,” Pathak said. Daughter of a daily wage earner,Sushma passed Class 10 at the age of seven and passed Class 12 at 10 years.
