A Bijnore court has ordered the registration of a criminal case against a police officer and four others for allegedly framing a youth for murder of his minor sister. The youth, who had been chargesheeted, was released on a personal bond of Rs 25,000 on Friday.
Chief Judicial Magistrate of Bijnore has ordered the registration of the case on Thursday,on the basis of an application filed by Chunnu, the girls father. He had alleged that Afzalgarh Station Officer Ghaseete Ram had framed his son Shahnawaz in connivance with the culprits. The four other accused in the case are Tejpal,Vikas,Hukum Singh and Subhash Chunnus neighbours.
Chunnus 13-year-old daughter was killed in Anwarpur Chandrika village on April 29. At that time, her parents were visiting their elder daughter and Shahnawaz had gone to attend a political meeting in a nearby village. When he returned home,he found his sister missing. The next morning, her body was found in an open field. According to the postmortem report, the girl had been strangled.
Later,Chunnu told the police that he had come to know that four of his neighbours had kidnapped and murdered his daughter. Without looking into this information, the police arrested Shahnawaz. Nine days later,it filed a chargesheet against Shahnawaz.
I told the court that the station officer and culprits are hand-in-glove and they had framed the victims brother, said Advocate Ajay Kumar, who appeared on behalf of Chunnu and Shahnawaz.
Ghaseete Ram,however, denied all the allegations. I sent Shahnawaz to jail on the basis of statements of several persons, including those against whom the court has now ordered an FIR, he said.
Bijnore SP Raj Kumar said,I have come to know about the court order, but have not received any directions.
