CAL Green triumphs in U-19 cricket tourney

Cal Green defeated CAL Blue by five wickets in their league match of the Under-19 Himanshu Shukla Memorial Cricket Tournament at LDA Stadium Stadium,Lucknow on Sunday.

Cal Green defeated CAL Blue by five wickets in their league match of the Under-19 Himanshu Shukla Memorial Cricket Tournament at LDA Stadium Stadium,Lucknow on Sunday. Batting first,CAL Blue scored 170 runs losing all its wickets in 29.5 overs. In reply,CAL Green was able to attain the set mark in 26.4 overs with five wickets to spare.

Brief Scores:Cal Blue: 170 all out in 29.5 overs ( Akshdeep Nath 66 Runs 38 Balls 11 Fours 1 Six,Raman Pal Singh 25 not out; Rohit Kishore 2 for 11,Nafis Ansari 2 for 28);

Cal Green:173 for five in 26.4 overs ( Amitabh Pathak 47,Nilendra Pratap Singh 36,M Saif 33,Ankit Yadav 33; Saumitra Singh 1 for 40,Shresth Sandal 1 for 16).

District trials
The under-19 district cricket trials being organised by the Cricket Association Lucknow (CAL) came to a close in Lucknow on Saturday. Secretary CAL KM Khan informs that out of 250 players,names of about 100 players have been shortlisted. The Regional trials will be held at the KD Singh Babu Stadium on April 23 and 24.

Inter Club tennis
Following are the days results of the Inter Club Tennis Tournament 2010 being hosted by MB Club,Lucknow. The finals will be played on Monday.
