In yet another effort to focus on attending complaints and grievances of people from his constituency, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reportedly asked Minister of State for Railways, Manoj Sinha, to spend a day every month at his MP office in Varanasi. Sinha will attend the visitors to ensure their grievances are looked into.
The MoS, an MP from Ghazipur, will also review the development projects undertaken in the PM’s constituency.
BJP’s Kashi region president Laxman Acharya confirmed the decision regarding Sinha and said, “While Modiji is busy looking after the entire nation, he is equally concerned about the public in his constituency. As Manoj Sinha is a Union Minister, his presence in Varanasi will give better results.” He will soon meet Sinha to decide upon the day for the latter’s visit, Acharya added.

The decision to send Manoj Sinha was reportedly taken in the meeting held by BJP president Amit Shah with party’s Varanasi unit leaders and UP state president Laxmikant Bajpai and state general secretary (organisation) Sunil Bansal in Delhi on Tuesday.
Earlier, five RSS men were deployed to manage the office which was set up in August last year. But they were replaced by local BJP MLAs, MLCs and the mayor soon after PM’s principal secretary, Nripendra Misra, visited Varanasi in March.
“It was found that district officials were not taking serious cognizance of the recommendations on public complaints made by the representatives of RSS. Officials entertain letters from MLAs based on a protocol. Now, presence of Manoj Sinha will mount pressure on officials to take up the complaints from public and he can better coordinate with Union Ministries in this regard,” said a party leader in Varanasi.
