BSP leader goes missing

The police are suspecting that mounting loans on the leader may have something to do with his disappearance.

Mahendra Baudh, former district president of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in Pratapgarh, who had also unsuccessfully contested the Assembly polls from Babaganj (reserved) constituency in 2012,has gone missing from Kotwali area in Pratapgarh since Thursday afternoon.

The police are suspecting that mounting loans on the leader may have something to do with his disappearance. They said that Baudh had also made a call on Saturday morning saying that he was well and would return home. However,he had not reached home till evening.

According to the police,Baudh went missing after he received a call while sitting at a shop of his acquaintance near the BSP’s party office in Kotwali area at 4 pm Thursday. “The family looked for him at all possible places. On Friday, his father Sampat Baudh lodged a missing report,” said Station Officer (Kotwali) Yogendra Nath Singh.
