BSP demands high-level probe into riots

The BSP on Friday asked the Akhilesh Yadav government to conduct a high-level probe into the occurrence of communal riots at different places in the state and take strict action against those found involved.

BSP general secretary and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Swami Prasad Maurya said after every riot Chief Minister claims that some people are trying to malign his government’s image. “But the names of those people are never revealed. Why is government not identifying these people and taking action against them?” he asked. Maurya alleged that the ruling SP is trying to strengthen the communal forces in the state.

Lucknow:Uttar Pradesh Congress on Friday called Arvind Kejriwal a “toy” in national and international hands,and accused him of spreading anarchy in the country. “One one hand,Arvind Kejriwal is attempting to gain cheap publicity by organising a rally in Farrukhabad for a fake scam of just Rs 70 lakh while in Faizabad,property worth crores belonging to a particular community was gutted,” Congress spokesperson Maroof Khan said in a statement. “Wasn’t Faizabad loss nation’s loss?” Khan asked,questioning Kejriwal’s silence on the violence. Stating that his acts are “misleading the public,” Khan added that Kejriwal’s silence on Faizabad violence proves that he has just been reduced to a toy at the hands of communal forces.
