Lucknow:Police on Sunday arrested Pooranmasi (45),who allegedly raped a 10-year-old girl who had gone to answer natures call in the fields near her village in Gosainganj police station area on Saturday morning. Gosainganj station officer R P Yadav said the accused was arrested near Ahimamau village. He said the accused,who is a drug addict,confessed to his crime. The condition of the girl,who was admitted to King George Medical University,was stable,Yadav added.

Two killed in firing in Firozabad

Firozabad:Two persons were killed on Sunday in firing between two groups over some dispute in Dakshin area near here,police said. Asif (35) and Rafiudding (65),who were passing by the area,were killed on the spot in the incident of firing between the groups of Firoz and Amir in Gadhaiya locality,

they said. The incident was stated to be fallout of family dispute between Firoz and Amir,who was also injured.
