BDC chairman shot in Basti

Circle Officer of Rudhauli area Shivdas Singh Yadav said Chaudhary had returned to his house at Rudhauli after attending a function last night. He asked his driver and others to stay back and he was going alone to his native place at Nipania village,which is 8 km from Rudhauli. He left Rudhauli around 9.30 pm on his Tata Safari.

He,however,could not reach his village and the locals informed the police around 6.30 am today about Chaudhary’s body lying inside his vehicle at Dawa village,about 2 km from his native place,Yadav added.

Circumstantial evidences indicate Chaudhary was not attacked while he was driving and he himself had stopped the vehicle. He probably was shot while talking to the assailants.

Yadav added that Chaudhary was not a member of any political party,but he was a close friend of ex-local BJP MLA Aditya Vikram Singh.
