BBDNITM bags top honours

The team of Babu Banarsi Das National Institute of Technology and Management (BBDNITM) defeated IET Lucknow by 66 runs in the final of Babu Banarsi Das Memorial Inter College Cricket Touranment organised at Dr Akhilesh Das Stadium,Lucknow on Wednesday.

Batting first after winning the toss,BBD team scored 180 runs losing six wickets in the given 20 overs. Pranshul (41) and Nitish (42) were the main run-getters. In reply,IET was all out at a total of 114 runs in 18 overs. Sudhir (51) was the main contributor to the team total.

RK Agarwal chief executive director Babu Banarsi Das Group of Educational Institutions (BBDGEI) presided over the prize distribution ceremony. Ajai Arora,deputy director sports BBDGEI also graced the occasion.

BBD player Amit,who took three wickets giving away 4 runs in his three over spell,was adjudged ‘man-of-the-match’. Tauseef Ahmed was adjudged ‘man-of-the-series’.
