Shameel Shamsi,the man running the restaurant,informed that even the platter in which the kebabs will be served will be in the shape of a bat. “Raina is a regular visitor to our restaurant. Once he came here along with MS Dhoni. The recipe is also slightly different from our regular kebabs. We have ground the meat instead of mincing it. I just hope that Raina and other team members like these kebabs. The general public will also be able to enjoy these kebabs. A plate of kebabs (comprising of 4 kebabs) is priced at Rs 200. A shirt with Raina’s name,is being given to the people who order these kebabs. At present,we have arranged for 500 T-shirts. We have distributed about 60 shirts today. We also plan to serve a ‘shahi tukda’ for every boundary made by Raina. The scheme will continue if India reaches the final.”

Talking to The Indian Express,Raina’s friend Ali Hamid Zaidi said,“ I had a talk with Raina yesterday and he was happy to know that the kebabs will be reaching him. I visited the restaurant before leaving for the airport today. Though I had to fly to Mumbai for some work I will be reaching Mohali tomorrow. I have asked some of my friends who will also be reaching Mohali from Lucknow,to bring these kebabs.”

“Actually,Raina is a big foodie. Be it these kebabs,or Tunde’s,or nehari…even vegetarian food…Raina enjoys all things which taste good,” he confided.

With the city in the grip of the World Cup fever,a multiplex has planned to show the match in its audi. Theatres are also giving the idea a thought.

A cricket academy organised an all-religion prayer meet to wish India luck ahead of the match. Young cricket freaks wrote ‘Good luck’ messages for India on this occasion.
