The pair of Arjun Singh and Pushkar Singh (seed-2) outclassed the top seeded pair of N Vignesh and Abhinav Mahajan 6-1,6-2 in the boys doubles finals of the HDFC Bank All India Talent Series Under-16 Tennis Championships at SDS Tennis Academy,Gomti Nagar,Lucknow on Thursday. The finals of the singles events start from 10.30 am on Friday.

Boys under-16 (semi-finals): N Vignesh (UP; seed-1) bt Abhinav Mahajan (Pb; seed-3) 6-0,6-1; Arjun Singh (UP; seed-4) bt Abhishek Kumar (UP) 6-3,7-5;

Girls under-16 (semi-finals): Eeshita Pandey (seed-2) bt Simran Bharti 6-2,6-2; Maitry Phukan (seed-1) bt Meenu Pandey (seed-4) 6-3,6-0;

Boys Doubles (final): Arjun Singh/ Pushkar Singh (seed-2) bt N Vignesh/ Abhinav Mahajan (seed-1) 6-1,6-2.

Shivam shines

A five wicket haul by Shivam Kumar Sharma (5 for 13) was the highlight of the match as his team DSA Moradabad defeated Sports Stadium,Meerut by one wicket in their semi-final match of the All India Om Prakash Saxena Memorial Under-17 Cricket Tournament at Pt. RB Tiwari Stadium,Lucknow on Thursday.
