Akhilesh suspends Basti DFO

Chief Minister AkhileshYadav on Saturday suspended J K Singh,Divisional Forest Officer (Social Forestry),Basti,and issued directions for disciplinary action against him for staying absent from his office without permission and not complying with government orders. As per a government release,the CM took the step after a probe into complaints against the official. He also breached the UP Rural Tree Conservation Act,1976 and was also involved in permitting encroachment. He also disobeyed the orders of his senior officers,conservator of forests and chief conservator of forests(eastern region),Gorakhpur,the release said.
