In the absence of aid,government or non-government,the arts have struggled to survive,” says the author whose book has interviews with artists,sculptors and artisans and 500 pictures mostly taken by herself.

“Family has been a major support in my project,” said Bhatnagar,an artist in her own right,whose paintings have been exhibited widely.

“I hope my book will bring areas that need attention to the notice of authorities and organisations dedicated to the cause of art forms and their uplift,” she said,aspiring to come out with one more book on the subject of art.
