Act against bids to disrupt communal harmony: CM Yogi Adityanath
The CM, who is on a two-day visit to Balrampur district, was addressing a review meeting on development projects and law and order.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday emphasised the need for “safe and peaceful” celebrations during all forthcoming festivals, such as Durga Puja, Ramlila, Diwali and Chhath. Adityanath underlined that no leniency would be shown towards those trying to disrupt the communal harmony and directed the authorities concerned to take strict action against such elements.
The CM, who is on a two-day visit to Balrampur district, was addressing a review meeting on development projects and law and order.
During the meeting, he discussed key initiatives in the district, including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban and Rural), the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana (Rural), Operation Kayakalp, the School Chalo Abhiyan, the Jal Jeevan Mission, and campaigns for cow vaccination, ear-tagging and protection, flood prevention measures, Vriksharopan Mahaabhiyan and communicable disease control campaign.
Pointing out that Balrampur was a flood-prone area, the Chief Minister stressed the need for a permanent solution, suggesting the channelisation of the Rapti River to curb flooding in the future.
He directed officials to ensure that all connecting roads in the district are well-maintained and pothole-free and urged them to submit proposals for new roads and bridges in coordination with public representatives, assuring immediate government funding. The CM directed that land be designated for the construction of a new large cow conservation centre and also produce compressed biogas.
Adityanath also highlighted the importance of ensuring uninterrupted electricity and sanitation services during festivals. He also stressed the need for a robust crackdown on mafia elements in the district, directing officials to identify the “top 10 notorious criminals and take decisive action against them.”
Regarding infrastructure, the CM instructed that the construction of Maa Pateshwari University be completed on time and to high standards.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the need to resolve revenue disputes, instructing administrative officers to initiate a campaign to address these issues. He recommended that a joint team of police and administration be deployed in such areas to prevent any potential unrest.
In addition to establishing Pledge Park, Adityanath emphasised the need for continuous efforts to boost industrial activities and generate employment in the district. He also called for a special cleanliness campaign in gram panchayats.
Regarding infrastructure, the chief minister instructed that the construction of Maa Pateshwari University be completed on time and to high standards.
While reviewing the Jal Jeevan Mission, he stressed that roads must be promptly repaired after being dug and that responsibility should be assigned if any roads remain unaddressed.
