36 IPS officers transferred

In a major reshuffle,the state government transferred 36 IPS officers,including police chief of 14 districts on Friday.

In a major reshuffle,the state government transferred 36 IPS officers,including police chief of 14 districts on Friday. Superintendent of Police of Azamgarh Ramit Sharma has been made SP of Rampur,while SSP/DIG of Ghaziabad Akhil Kumar has been asked to join as SSP/DIG,Meerut. While SSP/DIG,Bareilly,Dipesh Juneja has been made the SSP/DIG of Agra,SSP/DIG of Aligarh Aseem Arun has been asked to join as SSP/DIG of Gorakhpur. Inspector General Arun Kumar,who was kept waiting and was attached with DGP office has been asked to join as IG,PAC (Central zone).

Seven IPS officers promoted
Seven UP cadre IPS officers were promoted to ADG and IG ranks following the departmental promotion committee (DPC) recommendations. The Inspector General (IG) Anti-Corruption Organisation,Vipan Kumar,and IG (Establishment) Vijay Singh who is also holding the post of secretary to Chief Minister were promoted to the rank of ADG.
