The Allahabad police on Friday arrested two persons Saurabh Yadav and brother Sanjay Yadav for their alleged involvement in a Rs 80-lakh fraud case. Saurabh and his wife Swapnil Yadav likened to Bunty and Babli hoodwinkers had pocketed the sum from as many as 22 people in the Sangam city on promises of providing government jobs. Swapnil is still evading arrest. The police raided a place in Kanpur and arrested the duo on Friday following which they were brought to Allahabad. According to information,they have taken Rs 80 lakh from several people on pretext of providing government jobs, said Superintendent of Police (Crime) N P Singh. Claiming close relations with Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav,the young couple had reportedly disappeared a fortnight ago. We are probing the involvement of those whom the couple claims to be their relatives. Saurabhs sister is a magistrate in Faizabad and he claims to share close ties with a Samajwadi Party leader from Etawah,who is also a former chairman of a state board officer in North Central Railway, said the SP.
