12 injured as house catches fire

Twelve persons sustained burns when a house caught fire after an LPG cylinder exploded in Tilpara locality in Lucknow’s Hussainganj area on Tuesday. The injured were rushed to the Civil hospital. While eight among them have been admitted,the others were discharged after first aid. The condition of Parvati (62),who had sustained 45 per cent burns,was critical,said doctors. On Tuesday morning,the residence of Harish Sahu,a businessman,caught fire. “We have come to know that fire broke out when the family was preparing food,” said Sub-Inspector D K Singh. As the fire broke out,a few neighbours rushed inside to help the family and were trapped inside. “Five neighbours have sustained injuries,” said Singh.
