UP Police wins Football League
UP Police defeated AMC team 2-1 in the final to grab the top honours in the District Football League at Chowk Stadium,Lucknow on Friday.

The match was a real thriller in which both the teams resorted to an attacking game from the word go. AMC forward Subhash Raee succeeded in breaking the ice in the very third minute of the play. Jitendra Kumar struck the equaliser in the 11th minute. In the dying moments of the play,UP Police’s Kuldeep Rawat made no mistake in capitalising on a well-timed pass from right-half M Hadi to make the score 2-1,thus paving the way for the police team’s victory.

THE 2nd TR Pandey Memorial District Badminton Championship was jointly inaugurated by Director Sports (UP) KV Singh and Arun Kumar Mishra (PCS). Hony. secretary UP Badminton Association (UPBA) Dr Vijai Sinha also graced the occasion.
