Ruckus at SSKM,28 students held

Twenty-eight students were arrested after a ruckus at the SSKM Medical College on Saturday. The violence erupted when two students of the hostel were asked to vacate the premises on grounds of misconduct but they refused to comply. Angry students gheraoed the director and heckled the hostel superintendent.

The police was called to control the situation. “Dipankar Ganguly and Kabir Hossain were asked to vacate the hostel but they refused,” said Tapan Biswas,the hostel superintendent. A student leader said unless the arrested students were released they would boycott classes and work.
