He is loved and adored by his fans right from the time he began acting in the ’60s to this day. His energetic dancing style earned him the nickname Jumping Jack. Jeetendra came into the spotlight in 1967 with Farz,a golden-jubilee hit. He created his niche with movies like Humjoli,Caravan and Tohfa that featured him in elaborate dance sequences. He was also noticed as a serious actor in films like Jeene Ki Raah,Parichay,Khushboo. His tenure as a top star lasted till the early ’90s. From the late ’90s,he has been working behind the scenes to strengthen daughter Ekta’s production company,Balaji Telefilms.

Abhishek Kapoor,director
Abhishek Kapoor is the super-cool director of Rock On!! that became an anthem for the young. The script of the movie found a place in the library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Kapoor is currently working with the Rock On!! team of Farhan Akhtar and Excel Entertainment to recreate Chetan Bhagat’s book 3 Mistakes Of My Life on screen.

Anurag Basu,director
Anurag Basu’s movies always strike a chord,be it Murder,Gangster or Life In A… Metro. The acclaimed director won the Best Screenplay at the Star Screen Awards for Life in A… Metro. He was also nominated for Best Director and Best Story for Life In A…Metro and for Best Director and Best Screenplay for Gangster. He is now directing Rakesh Roshan’s Kites.

Kunal Kohli,director
Kunal Kohli’s first hit Hum Tum five years ago was acclaimed for its breezy style and treatment,complete with cartoon characters flitting in and out of the narrative at key intervals. He achieved the impossible by pairing Aamir Khan with Kajol for his next hit,Fanaa. A former critic and music video director,Kohli launched his own production house with Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic. His next production,directed by a newbie,stars Imran Khan and Deepika Padukone.

Nishikant Kamat,director
Edgy and gritty movies are Nishikant Kamat’s forte. His debut film,Dombivli Fast,went on to become a major hit in Marathi cinema. It was also critically appreciated and much-awarded,including a National Award. The Mumbai train blasts of 2006 inspired his first Hindi film,Mumbai Meri Jaan,which again received a lot of critical acclaim.

Sanjay Gadhvi,director
Sanjay Gadhvi took to direction with Tere Liye and Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai. However,it was Dhoom that pumped the entire country with adrenaline when it was released in 2004. The highly stylised movie became a brand and the super-hit sequel Dhoom:2 consolidated it as it became the highest grossing movie in 2006. His last movie was Kidnap starring Sanjay Dutt and Imran Khan.

Siddharth Anand,director
Siddharth Anand is one of the promising young directors . In 2005,he directed Salaam Namaste,which was appreciated for its spunky freshness. His Bachna Ae Haseeno ran successfully. The grandson of writer Inder Raj Anand,he is now working on Anjaana Anjaani with Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.
