Maoists behead teacher in Goaltore

The beheaded body of a school teacher,who was kidnapped by the Maoists,was found in a forest near Goaltore in West Midnapore district on Tuesday,police sources said.

Satya Kinkar Hansda,a resident of Sirisboni village,had been warned by the ultras for being a member of a rival organization and was picked up by an armed cadre on Monday night. Mahato,who was a teacher at Purulia Vivekananda High School,was also an active member of Gana Pratirodh Committee,rival of the Maoist-backed People’s Committee against Police Atrocities. Meanwhile,a BSF personnel was injured in an exchange of fire with Maoists in a jungle near Pirakulli in Salboni.
