Man lodges FIR against son’s school

Rajesh Shah,father of a Class VIII student of St James School,Kolkata,filed a complaint with the police against the school’s principal and five teachers for allegedly mentally and physically harassing his son,Siddhartha David Shaw.

“He was unwell and when he went to school after a gap on July 14,he was beaten up by the teachers,” said Shaw,a resident of Beniapukur. The police said the complaint has been lodged under Sections 323 and 506 of the IPC. The school authorities said,“The child has been given a Transfer Certificate. The school tried to discipline him in all ways but could not succeed. A few months ago,he beat another student and his family complained to the school.”

FIR against student for classmate’s death

Ramesh Poddar has filed an FIR against a class V student of Sarvoday Vidyapith,Muraripukur Road,blaming him for the death of his 12-year-old son Rupen. Family members said Rupen,who died on Thursday,was pushed by a student on July 2 that led to an injury in his abdomen. A case has been registered under Section 304 of the IPC at Maniktala police station .
