Kolkata: The Election Commission on Wednesday issued a notification for the second phase of Assembly poll on April 23 to be conducted in 50 of the 294 constituencies. The notification has been issued by the Commission for 50 Assembly constituencies in the districts of Murshidabad,Malda and Birbhum, Additional Chief Electoral Officer,N K Sahana said.

70-yr-old man run over by train

Kolkata: A 70-year-old man died after he fell while changing compartments on the Howrah-Bandel local train on Sheoraphuli station today. Ram Prasad Sharma,a resident of Sreerampore,was run over by the train after he fell off while trying to get off the womens compartment.
