It was a sunny,wintry afternoon on the sprawling lawns of the elegant Imperial Hotel in Janpath,where 30 ladies got together for the first luncheon of the W Factor Club— an all women’s wine club floated by former restaurateur Kanchan Kapoor. Dressed to kill in red,Kapoor,46,ushered in the members,socialites like Cheena Wig and Tanishaa Mohan (above,right). Still,the most glamorous lady of them all was actor Zeenat Aman,who made a surprise appearance and mingled easily with star struck guests. “I believe a women’s wine club is a great opportunity and a learning experience,” smiled the 70’s stunner. And while Opera Wines uncorked their reds,a sparkling rose’ for women,guests could avail of a make-up makeover from a fancy Canadian brand,or maybe win free spa packages. Membership to W Factor is only by invitation. The club’s calendar is already packed with an all girl’s karaoke session at Harry’s— a Karaoke Bar,a know your diamonds session at the Zoya store,art appreciation classes,a vineyard visit and an all women’s Vintage Car Rally. Ladies,you’re going to be busy.
