CPM men infiltrated state administration: CM

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today accused the CPM of allowing infiltration of its own men into the administration over its three-decade rule, saying they were not cooperating with the government.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today accused the CPM of allowing infiltration of its own men into the administration over its three-decade rule, saying they were not cooperating with the government.

“In the past 35 years, the CPM had infiltrated its own men in the administration. There is total non-cooperation,” the Trinamool Congress chief said, canvassing for her September 25 byelection in Bhowanipore Assembly constituency.

“There is a dearth of useful officers in the administration. We are faced with a funds crunch as well,” she said.

Listing the achievements of her government in the past few months, she said,“We have solved the Darjeeling problem. We are trying to solve the Junglemahal issue,” in an apparent reference to the Maoist problem. “We have generated employment opportunities for 2.31 lakh youths in the state,” she claimed.
