CPM classes for cadres begin on a low key

With party patriarch Jyoti Basu’s condition very critical,CPM’s rejuvenation programme is now off-focus. Party bigwigs like general secretary Prakash Karat and politburo member Sitaram Yechuri landed in the city today to address the two-day party class.

While Karat will address the session on Sunday on the national political situation,Yechuri spoke today on international political situation while central committee member Nilotpal Bose held a closed-door meeting on the Maoist problem.

In the evening session on Saturday,Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee explained the political scenario in the state post-Lok Sabha polls.
