Cong seeks coordination committee

The Congress on Thursday reiterated its demand for a co-ordination committee between the two partners of the Mamata Banerjee government saying it would expedite work of the government and will dispel all misunderstandings between the two alliance partners.

On Thursday,West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee president Pradip Bhattacharya made the demand at Bidhan Bhavan,the WBPCC headquarters.

“We have made this demand before and we are making this demand once again in the interest of the alliance,’’ Bhattacharya said.

The party is going to hold a panchayati raj sammelan at Netaji Indoor Stadium on November 20 which will be presided over by Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee.
