Cong MP seeks 4 seats from Mamata

Congress MP from Behrampore Adhir Choudhury today said he had requested Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee to withdraw her party's candidates from four constituencies in Murshidabad district.

Congress MP from Behrampore Adhir Choudhury today said he had requested Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee to withdraw her party’s candidates from four constituencies in Murshidabad district.

“I don’t care for any alliance in my district. It will be wise of Mamatadi if she withdraws her candidates from here. If she does not do that,Trinamool candidates themselves will become dummy candidates there and the Left Front candidates will scrape through,” he said.

“Is Adhir above Sonia Gandhi? The electorate in the state is totally polarised,” Subrata Buxi,Trinamool state president, said.

“Adhir is a responsible Congress leader… We will take up the issue with him,” Shaqeel Ahmed,AICC observer for West Bengal, said.
