Bengal SIR 2.0: Name missing from draft roll? Are you an overseas voter? Here are the forms you need to know about

From December 16 onwards, the Commission reopened the window for inclusion, deletion and correction

If a name is missing from the draft electoral roll, Form 6 must be filed along with Annexure IV and supporting documents.

With the draft electoral roll published in West Bengal, the second phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) has begun. Electors whose names appear in the draft may now be called for hearings or re-verification. After this process, the Election Commission will take a final call on including or excluding names in the updated roll.

From December 16 onwards, the Commission reopened the window for inclusion, deletion and correction. Those who believe their names were wrongly left out during the enumeration stage may challenge the decision and apply for inclusion.

New inclusion

For first-time voters, Form 6 is required. It can be submitted to the Booth Level Officer (BLO) or online. If a name is missing from the draft electoral roll, Form 6 must be filed along with Annexure IV and supporting documents.

Inclusion for overseas voters

Overseas voters can apply using Form 6A and submit documents online.

Objections to draft roll

Any elector can file objections to inclusions or deletions in the draft roll. Form 7 must be submitted for this purpose.

Correction of entries/change of address

Electors who want to update residential addresses, change the spelling of their names, or correct other details, must use Form 8. The form is also applicable for replacement of EPIC or marking PwD status.
