The Yatras will pass through seven divisions, 31 districts and 140 Assembly constituencies and cover over 4,400 kms over a period of 12 days.

The Congress party will kick off its Guarantee Yatras from Tuesday to take seven guarantees to the people’s doorstep which it has promised to fulfil if elected again in the forthcoming Assembly polls.
The Yatras will pass through seven divisions, 31 districts and 140 Assembly constituencies and cover over 4,400 kms over a period of 12 days. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will launch the Yatras from Jaipur on November 7 and join Yatras at Jodhpur, Udaipur, Ajmer, Bikaner, Kota and Bharatpur on 8, 9, 10, 11, 14 and 15 November, respectively.
Top party leaders have been roped in to lead the Yatras in seven divisions: CP Joshi (Udaipur), Sachin Pilot (Ajmer), Bhanwar Jitendra Singh (Jaipur), Mohan Prakash (Bharatpur), Pramod Jain Bhaya (Kota), Harish Choudhary (Jodhpur), and Govind Ram Meghwal (Bikaner).
Party president Mallikarjun Kharge, MP Rahul Gandhi and general secretary Priyanka Gandhi are also expected to join the Yatras. The Yatras will be held under the supervision of state in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and three AICC secretaries Amrita Dhawan, Qazi Nizamuddin and Virendra Rathore.
At the heart of the Yatras are seven guarantees unveiled by the Congress party: Rs 10,000 per annum honorarium for the women heads of families, subsidised gas cylinders at Rs 500 for over 1 crore households, free laptops or tablets for first-year students studying in government colleges, free English medium education, purchase of cow dung from cattle owners at Rs 2 per kg to promote bio-gas production, a Rs 15 lakh calamity insurance for Chiranjeevi families, and a promise to back the old pension scheme for government employees with a law.
The Congress Guarantee Yatras in seven divisions aims to not only serve the party politically but also as a platform for direct interaction between the Congress party and people. The Yatras will witness nearly 250 events which include 137 Congress Guarantee Samvads, 10 roadshows and public rallies.
The party will also organise 1,000 Congress Guarantee Camps during its 12-day yatra. The Congress Guarantee Samvads and Congress Guarantee Camps for women, youngsters and common people have been planned as forums of engagement, “fostering a two-way dialogue with the citizens,” a party leader said. “This engagement is not merely about registering the voices of the people but also about providing them with an opportunity to register for the benefits of these guarantees. The Congress party intends to distribute 2 crore guarantee cards to the beneficiaries of various social welfare schemes,” the leader said.
