Nidhin Valsan, SP North Goa, said two FIRs were registered under section 363 (kidnapping) of Indian Penal Code and section 8 of The Goa Children’s Act. Two minor girls, aged 12 and 15, who were allegedly kidnapped from Goa, were rescued from Karnataka by Goa police on Wednesday. Two accused persons have been arrested for allegedly kidnapping the minors and holding them hostage in a house in Hubballi in Karnataka, said police.
Goa Police said on Monday around 9 pm, an FIR was registered on the complaint of the father of a minor girl stating that some unknown persons had kidnapped his 12-year-old daughter and her whereabouts were not known. Police said on the same day, a woman lodged a complaint alleging that her 15-year-old daughter had been kidnapped.
