Zomato Delivery Boy Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident in Munirka

The incident occurred around 2.45 am near the Outer Ring Road underpass, close to the DDA Flats Gate in Munirka while he was crossing the road, police said.
According to police, Harendra was crossing the road when an unidentified vehicle struck him. The driver fled the scene without stopping to help the injured man.
Police officers arrived at the scene after receiving a PCR call about the accident. They rushed Harendra to Safdarjung Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
Harendra, a resident of Sector 1, RK Puram, New Delhi, is survived by his wife Chetna – a homemaker – and a six-month-old son. His father, Suresh Chand Sharma, works in a Class 4 position with the DDA.
Police said they have identified the offending vehicle. “A case has been registered under sections 281(1), 106(1) of BNS at Kishangarh police station, and further investigation is going on,” police source said.
Post mortem of deceased is being conducted.
