Youth,minor held for snatching

The South Delhi police have arrested a student and a juvenile for a series of snatching incidents in various parts of the Capital.

The accused has been identified as Pawan Kumar (19) and Harnam (name changed).

“In the last few months,several incidents of snatching and theft have been reported. During investigations,we found the youths who were involved in the crimes belonged to affluent families and had no past criminal record,” HGS Dhaliwal,Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), said.

The due was arrested from Sarojini Nagar market on Thursday,when they were trying to sell a snatched mobile phone.

Harnam was later handed over to his father with a direction to produce him before the Juvenile Board on Friday,an officer said.
