Woman ‘forced into car’ which later hits divider

Police said the woman has not recorded a statement yet. “A case has been registered but no arrests have been made yet. We are investigating,” an officer said.

A 20-year-old woman has accused the brother of the owner of a club she worked in of forcing her into a car against her will. Police said the car later crashed into a divider in the early hours of Tuesday. The accused, Chattar Bhati, and the woman were both injured and are recovering at a private hospital in Gurgaon.

Senior officers said in her FIR, the woman said she works as a receptionist in a club in Sector 29. She was on her way home when the accused pulled her into his Maruti Ritz.

“In her complaint, she has alleged that he molested her and tore off her clothes. She also said that she asked him to drive slowly but he refused, and told her that both of them would die together if they had to. Both were injured when the car hit a divider near Ardee city,” Rajesh Kumar, ACP (Crime), said.
