Police have beefed up security at Caitriona apartment where the two Nepalese women were allegedly confined and gangraped. Having two entrances, one from Block A and the other from Block E, all the blocks from A to J are arranged in L- shape overlooking a 9-hole golf course.
According to sources, the gate close to Block E, where the Saudi diplomat lived with his wife and a daughter in a fifth floor house, has a PCR van stationed at all times.
Now, along with private guards, two police personnel are present at the entry gate. Contrary to reports, the Saudi diplomat lived in a 4 BHK house, approximately 7200 sq ft, and only one part faces the golf-course.

A guard in Block E said Saturday, “I see different people coming in embassy cars. However, our interaction with them has always been limited. They do not interact much. We just greet them.” Another guard said they had not seen diplomats or “foreigners” mistreat any resident, guard or domestic worker in the society.
To ensure safety of residents, there are 24 CCTV cameras in the building that has 11 floors.
“One is installed right on the top of the entry door of each apartment. Footage of each and every person who enters the tower and apartment is captured. A team of three security personnel is deployed at the surveillance room that has two monitors capturing footage of ever floor. Every floor has at least 2 CCTV cameras. It is impossible that the camera will miss anybody entering the apartment,” said a resident.
A guard said, as a general practice in the residential area, full-time domestic workers did not get passes. “While part-time domestic workers have passes, full-time workers are given slips when they want to go out. It is difficult to track full-time workers,” the guard said.
Another guard said each building had two levels of underground parking with lifts. “In the parking lots, not many places have CCTV cameras. Hence it is difficult to say if the Nepalese women were brought in cars.”
According to the resident The Indian Express spoke to, nearly 35 diplomats live in the apartment.
