Genelia in Mental
Salman Khans Mental is adding more girl power to its cast. Headlined by Tabu,the film marks the debut of Daisy Shah and Bigg Boss hottie Sana Khan. Now we hear that director Sohail Khan has roped in Genelia for a special role. From what we hear,its a small role but Genelia plays an important character in the film,which is a remake of the Telugu superhit Stalin.
Gangs of Kashyap
Cannes is turning out to be lucky for Anurag Kashyap,with his Ugly being selected in the Directors Fortnight section. This is Kashyaps second outing at Cannes. Last year,he screened his two-part revenge saga Gangs of Wasseypur. At Cannes,the other Indian films at the Croisette also have the Kashyap stamp. His Bombay Talkies anthology,will be screened to mark 100 years of Indian cinema. Amit Kumars Moonsoon Shootout (selected for Midnight Screening) and Ritesh Batras Dabba (Lunchbox) are co-produced by him.
Duryodhan back on TV
Puneet Issar who essayed the role of Duryodhan in BR Chopras magnum opus Mahabharat is back on the small screen. Hes penciled in for the role of a disciplinarian patriarch in Colors Bani Ishq Da Kalma. Interestingly,Issar will also be seen in Mahabharat once again. This time its the new take on the grand epic which Swastik Productions is putting together for Star Plus. Issar will be seen in a cameo appearance as Parshuram in the mega show.
