Police said the accused has been working with Uber since May 4 this year. Police said Vinod denied all charges and said he did not kiss the woman. “During questioning, he told us that he touched her hand to his forehead and never kissed her,” a senior police officer said.

The woman in her statement said, “When we reached my destination, he handed over two bags and when I asked for the third, he said he wanted to shake hands with me… I thought he is a good man and so I casually shook hands with him. He kissed my hand. When I tried to pull back, he forcibly tried to kiss me.”

The city police is likely to file a chargesheet in two weeks.
