Two posing as domestic help held for theft

Police on Sunday arrested a 45-year-old woman and her daughter-in-law,who allegedly posed as domestic helpers to seek jobs and then carried out thefts. Police have also recovered jewellery worth Rs 2 lakh from them.

Sundari (45) and Seema (25) reportedly approached the complainant looking for a job. When the complainant left them briefly,they stole from the house,police said.

“When the complainant returned,she found her almirah open and a box containing diamond and gold jewellery missing,” a senior officer said.
