Two held for killing factory supervisor

Two men were arrested for allegedly murdering a factory supervisor and disposing of his body in a forested area near Vasant Kunj in South Delhi a few days ago,police said.

Two men were arrested for allegedly murdering a factory supervisor and disposing of his body in a forested area near Vasant Kunj in South Delhi a few days ago,police said.

Sonu Dhaiya (24) and Suraj alias Sonu (21) were arrested from Rangpuri bus stand. The police recovered the victim’s ATM cards,mobile phones a belt allegedly used to strangulate him,and Rs 27,000 from the two.

The deceased has been identified as Bansidhar Patra,a native of Orissa working as safety supervisor with a private company at Mahipalpur Extension.

According to the police,the victim was last seen with Sonu,a private labour contractor with the same company.

“During an interrogation,Sonu said Patra had been demanding commission money and a new mobile phone from him. Patra had allegedly threatened to remove him from his post,and hire a new contractor,if his demands were not met,” said H G S Dhaliwal,DCP (South).

After Sonu related his problem to Suraj,they decided to kill Patra. On February 10,they invited the victim to their room in Rangpuri for a party. Sonu reportedly dropped some sleeping pills in Patra’s drink. Following this,they they took him to a forested area where they allegedly strangled him with a belt.
