Traffic curbs in Delhi’s Paschim Vihar for Hanuman Katha from today, check road closure here

The Hanuman Katha event is held at the Delhi Development Authority Ground in Paschim Vihar from April 26 to April 30.

The Delhi Traffic Police have announced traffic diversions and parking arrangements in view of the Hanuman Katha event at the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) Ground in Paschim Vihar from April 26 to April 30.

Commuters can expect heavy traffic in the area, said officials.

Traffic restrictions and diversions:

– From Jwala Heri Market to Nangloi:
– Option 1: Take Dr Sandeep Akhouri Marg and turn towards Peera Garhi Chowk.
– Option 2: Take Yashpal Laxmi Singh Marg and turn towards Peera Garhi Chowk.

– From Janakpuri District Centre to Nangloi:
– Option 1: Use Elevated Road (Neelgai Road – Nangloi Road – Jwala Heri 60 Feet Road – Udyog Bhawan Metro – Nangloi).
– Option 2: Use the Underpass near the Elevated Andhervan and Mangolpuri Elevated Road.

Road closures (April 26–30):

– Bhai Bala Chowk Road (till Elevated Road main cut)
– Road from Paschim Vihar West Police Station to St Mark’s School (Lokesh Market)
– Service road from Radisson Blu to Outer Ring Road (Namdhari White Tyres)

Parking arrangements:

– Visitors from Jwala Heri Market can park at Laxmi Narayan Road or Chaudhary Prem Sukh Marg (P-1, P-2).

– Visitors from Janakpuri District Centre can park at Prem Sukh Marg Cut or near u-turn under Mangolpuri Flyover (P-1, P-2).

– Visitors from Tikri Border can park at Prem Sukh Marg Cut (P-3), or near Udyog Bhawan Metro (P-1, P-2).

– Visitors from Madhuban Chowk can park at Laxmi Narayan Road or Chaudhary Prem Sukh Marg (P-1, P-2).

The Delhi Traffic Police have urged commuters to cooperate with traffic personnel, follow directions, and plan their travel accordingly to avoid inconvenience.

Hanuman Katha, a religious discourse led by Dhirender Shastri of Bageshwar Dham, also known as Baba Bageshwar, is expected to draw a large crowd. In light of this, the traffic police have decided to implement traffic control measures and establish designated parking spots.
