“This Jan Suvidha Complex (JSC) was taken over from South Municipal Corporation in March, 2014 by DUSIB for further operation and maintenance. It was in a dilapidated and dangerous condition. It has been reconstructed after demolishing the existing JSC. Upgradation and remodelling has been done by DUSIB,” said a senior government official.

Meanwhile, DUSIB is also planning to provide 20 toilet complexes consisting of 785 WC seats constructed at a cost of Rs 7.58 crore in JJ clusters across the capital. According to government officials, the government has has added 58 complexes comprising 2,031 seats for JJ clusters.

“We have launched a drive to improve the quality of maintenance, repair and up-gradation of the existing toilets blocks. For the purpose of proper maintenance, each toilet complex has been assigned a unique identity. An app has been launched for feedback. For the first time, DUSIB is trying to ensure that water is taken right to the toilets either through taps or flushes, depending upon the technical feasibility,” said the official.
