Three dead as car hits pole on Noida-Greater Noida Expressway

The deceased, identified as Ishan (19), Aryan (22) and Vinay (23), succumbed to their injuries after police brought them to hospital

NoidaThe bodies have been sent to a postmortem house in Noida's Sector 94.

Three men died after their car hit an advertising pole on Noida-Greater Noida Expressway on Monday.

“The deceased have been identified as Ishan (19), Aryan (22) and Vinay Jogi (23). Ishan and Aryan were brothers, residing in Palm Olympia, Gaur City, Sector 16. Vinay, a resident of Baraula and third-year student at Asian Law College, was their friend,” said Station House Officer of Sector 126 Bhupendra Singh. Police said further investigations are on.

The bodies have been sent to a postmortem house in Noida’s Sector 94.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Rambadan Singh said that after receiving an alert around 7.30 am that an accident had occurred near Amity University, police “found a Tata Tiago car that had hit the advertising pole after losing balance”. “We took the three people to the nearby district hospital but they were declared dead,” the Noida DCP said.

Singh added that Ishan and Aryan were sons of Sunil Kashyap, who is posted as Junior Engineer with Noida Authority.
