Three accidents in city: Student among 2 killed

A 22-year-old student died after his bike crashed into a WagonR parked in Geeta Colony,East Delhi,on Saturday morning. Police said Satish was going to attend computer classes when the accident occurred.

A 22-year-old student died after his bike crashed into a WagonR parked in Geeta Colony,East Delhi,on Saturday morning. Police said Satish was going to attend computer classes when the accident occurred. The driver of the car opened the door without looking and Satish could not stop his bike in time,police said.

“He was rushed to Dr Hedgewar Arogya Sansthan where he was declared dead. The car driver was arrested from the spot and has been booked for negligence,” said a police officer.

Another accident took place at Geeta Colony flyover,when four persons were injured after a truck rammed into their car head on,early Saturday morning. “We found that three occupants of the car and a passer-by were injured in the accident. They were rushed to a nearby hospital and are stable,” a senior police officer said.

In another incident,a 42-year-old motorcyclist was run over,reportedly by a heavy vehicle,after he lost control of his bike and fell on the road near Safdarjung Hospital around 12.45pm on Saturday. Anil Singh was a resident of Noida and worked as labour supervisor in a private company.

“Singh tried to balance his bike,but could not. A speeding heavy vehicle ran over him and he died on the spot,” a police officer said.
