Technical snag hits Metro services

Metro services were hit on Monday morning on the Noida corridor after a technical snag occurred in a train at Dwarka Mor.

Metro services were hit on Monday morning on the Noida corridor after a technical snag occurred in a train at Dwarka Mor.

The train was stuck at the station for around 15 minutes around 10 am,causing bunching on the line and delaying train services on the Dwarka Sector 21-Noida City Center line.

As the incident took place during the morning rush hour,it caused inconvenience to many Metro commuters. The Noida corridor is the longest line in the existing Metro network, and has a daily ridership of over six lakh passengers.

Though Metro officials maintained that the snag was rectified within 15 minutes, other trains on the corridor were held up due to bunching on the entire line. Commuters complained that there were no train services for around 30 minutes during that period.
