Students protest after javelin mishap

Hundreds of students from Shyama Prasad Mukherjee government boys school in CR Park,protested outside the school on Thursday.

Hundreds of students from Shyama Prasad Mukherjee government boys school in CR Park,where a 12-year-old student was accidentally hit by a javelin,protested outside the school on Thursday.

Roshan Lama,a Class VI student at the school,was critically injured in the incident and has been admitted to AIIMS Trauma Centre. He was hit by a javelin thrown by a student practising for the sports day.

The students broke notice boards inside the school and pelted stones at vehicles of teachers parked inside the school premises. The protesters also blocked traffic at CR Park,which led to snarls in GK and the Outer Ring Road near Savitri Cinema.
