Fashion designer Manish Malhotra is simultaneously gearing up for the Lakme Fashion Week,the fashion week in Kolkata and designing for 12 movie projects. In between,he made a quick stopover in Delhi for a preview of his festive collection at the inaugural function of Skoda Autos luxury showroom-cum-workshop,Fahrenheit Automobiles. “My upcoming projects are Karan Johar’s remake of Stepmom,which will be followed by Sidharth Anand’s Anjana Anjani,” said Malhotra,who is also squeezing in time to write the script for his directorial debut in Bollywood. “The script will be ready by next year,” he smiled.

Meanwhile,his nephew,Punit Malhotra,is making his directorial debut in Bollywood with I Don’t Believe in Love Stories starring Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor. “It’s a Dharma productions film. Punit has assisted Karan on projects like Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and Dostana. The shooting will most likely begin in September,” said Malhotra. Like uncle,like nephew?
