Row at seminar on stray dogs as group opposes use of ‘ferocious’ images

A scuffle broke out at the Constitution Club Wednesday, where a seminar to discuss stray dogs and incidents of dog bites was organised by former BJP MP Vijay Goel.
As the seminar, which included representatives from several RWAs, commenced, a group entered the premises and demanded they be heard as well.

“Both were escorted out of the premises. No complaint has been given by either side…,” said DCP (New Delhi), Pranav Tayal.
One of the women, who reached the club to put forth her views on the topic, said that over the past week, posters showing images of “ferocious” dogs were put up across the city. “We wanted to highlight that creating hatred among people for dogs will only worsen the situation,” said the woman who did not want to be named.
Goel in a statement said that he had booked the Speaker’s Hall but officials informed him that MP Maneka Gandhi had also booked the Deputy Speaker’s Hall the same time. Goel said people attending the other meeting created a ruckus at his seminar.
