The Romanov Red Rock in India concert that featured Prime Circle,Richard Marx and the Backstreet Boys saw many a Delhi teenager and parent hovering around waiting for the show to start. Prime Circle began the show but the concert picked up only when the still great looking Marx took the stage. You guys are a great audience but it is so funny to see you scream and shout during the song and then fall silent, chuckled Marx,47,before he launched into one of his biggest soulful hits,Hazard. That was a particularly high point in the concert,older members of the audience who remembered the song about a boy and girl dreaming about leaving their small town in Nebraska. Some lighters went up as Marx crooned out the chorus. He also saved his most famous song for the last: This is a song I dont want you to sing aloud because you all know it and you might just ruin it, he joked before playing the opening chords of Right Here Waiting for You. Teenage couples held each other as their parents frowned from a distance,arms waved and voices rose in unison to sing with Marx.

But there was a different kind of energy in the air after Marx exited,one that became agitated as the stage was cleared and a DJ set up his console. The four remaining Backstreet Boys appeared on stage in the midst of chants and began a high voltage,hour-long performance,replete with their signature dance moves,short video spoofs,accompanied by a bevy of sexy female dancers. The boy band began with their signature Backstreets Back ,swiftly moving onto their early chartbusters such as Weve got it going on,As long as you love me and Quit Playing Games (with my heart) . Although theyre older now,wrinkled and still as auto-tuned as before,the concert was a hit. Thank you for being there for us for so many years, they cried in unison. Brian Littrell had a close shave with what looked like underwear thrown from the crowd on stage. On closer inspection,it was a fancy tie-up bandanna. Probably a fans response to his voice going out of tune when he sang solo.
